T h a n k f u l

Every November I write a post about how thankful I am, how good life is and has been to me, and how much I cherish the blessings that I have.  

With those words, I share the song that touches my heart in many ways. 

So, once again, I will share it. 

Because this year, it means so much more than ever before. 

Some days we forget to look around us. Some days we can't see the joy that surrounds us. 

So caught up inside ourselves, we take when we should give.

So for tonight, we pray for what we know can be. 

And on this day, we hope for what we still can't see. 

It's up to us to be the change, and even though we all can still do more,

 there's so much to be thankful for.

Look beyond ourselves, there's so much sorrow. It's way too late to say I'll cry tomorrow. 

Each of us must find our truth, it's so long overdue.

So for tonight, we pray for what we know can be.

 And on this day, we hope for what we still can't see. 

It's up to us to be the change, and even though we all can still do more,

 there's so much to be thankful for.

Even with our differences there is a place we're all connected. Each of us can find each other's light.

No matter how tough life gets, how down you become, how hard it is to look up and see some light, there truly is so much to be thankful for, and there always will be. 

I won't share the many things I'm thankful for and am blessed with, but one of these days, I'd suggest taking a minute to step outside, close your eyes, and soak in all the many blessings of this beautiful life. It's good for the soul.
